Members of D2O were invited by ABLE Jacksonville Life Skills Clinics to participate in an event on July 17th. D2O took the lead in presenting interviewing andfirst impressions skills to the group. ABLE Jacksonville (Able, Beyond, Limits & Expectations) is a community outreach program empowering young adults (ages 18-25) with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Their clinics focus on helping young adults with developmental disabilities build confidence and practical life skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Volunteers are needed at the Long Branch Elementary School during the 2026 - 2027 school year. Please see the link below should you wish to volunteer. Following your acceptance, you will be provided with directions on having a level 2 background check done, which is required for individuals participating in public school activities

We are also conducting a fundraiser to offset the cost of individuals requiring a level 2 background check. Please donate to support this fundraiser:
Clara White Mission has reached out to D2O to conduct “mock interviews” for individuals graduating from the culinary and janitorial programs in August. On March 17th, D2O participated in a Career and Resource Fair for Bridges of America. Bridges of America serve over 200 clients, which have been in prison and have been deemed eligible for a community work assignment. D2O’s roll during the event is to reach out to individuals that would like a resume’ created and or reviewed.
Following a successful 2025 – 2026 school season at Sanctuary on 8th Street, D2O have been asked to return for the 2026 – 2027 school year. D2O is pleased to announce that we have returning volunteers that will take the lead on the various sessions.
During the period, D2O is pleased that a member of Bank of America has completed 50+ hours of volunteering to date. Ass such, a volunteer grant of $500 was received by Developed to Overcome as her non-profit of choice.
D2O continue to provide volunteer support at Horse Sense & Sensitivity during the months April, May and June, 65 hours were recorded.
